Heya.. wondering what is the greatest hp / whp and torque and wtorque anyone has seen with a 2.0L N/A and what did you change if anything.

Im looking to add to my car without changing the entire engine around by adding a turbo. Unless you know how to put a safe one if for under $3000.

straydog, we have a pretty good sized GA/AL group so you could learn a lot by hanging out with us.

as to answer your questions.

#1. I've seen about 160whp from NA mods, this cost about $9K and included all new internals, forged pistons and rods, higher compression, custom ground cams, head port and polish work and some sort of EMS like the haltech or MPI tuner....cost vs power....NA is NOT the way to go.

#2. I don't know any turbo kits under $3K but I'm developing a supercharger system for the protege that makes about 160-180whp in the $2600 range. Do a search for WOMP....you can't miss the big stickied thread.
