msp shortshifter vs. b&m

Anybody know if the b&m gives a shorter throw than the msp?? which i believe is sparco.......and i haven't seen the msp shortshifter for sale from mazda or anywhere else........i'm assuming it can be bought somewhere.......

The only difference in the stock pros shifter and the Ms shifter is the height. Honestly, the shifter on the MS Pro feels weird because it is shorter but still has the long throw. Go with B&M or karyboy.

there is a 7% throw difference between the 2 stock shifters

The msp's shifter is simply the stock protege's shifter without the extension. You can turn you stock shifter into the msp's by simply removing the extension.

The fulcrum of the B&M or other aftermarket short throw shifters is higher than that of the stock, so any aftermarket piece will shorten the throw even more. The msp's does have a slightly shorter throw simply becuase of the lower height. I removed the extension a while ago on my shifter and honestly it feels much crisper, but I agree the throw is still farely long...
