looking for NGK iridium spark plug part number
Has anyone used these and what's the big deal? First it was V-groove, then platinum, now iridium...what's next?
I'm looking for the part number of these plugs to get them on sale this week (before Friday) if they're worth it. If someone could post this info, I would greatly appreciate it. My local Mazda dealer doesn't use them and a local parts counter doesn't list anything newer than a 2000 model. Thanks in advance, Mark :) |
NGK iridium
I am looking for the same part number as well. I posted last weekend let me know if you find out the part number.

I'd like to know the p/n as well. You can order from Protege5online.com, but they're asking $52 for a set. I bought NGK iridium plugs for my other car and paid $5.99 each. Mitch is asking more than 2X that.
You could try asking NGK. If you do end up getting these, keeping in mind that setting the gap can be a pain. On the box it says not to adjust the gap and that the gap is pre-set at the factory. The one's I've used have had some variation, so I usually adjust the gap. I've broken one before though. . . and wasn't too happy about pissing away $6. |
part number
The part number is BKR5EIX-11
I just ordered them at canadian tire store 4 for $31.98 CAD |
Do you happen to have the boxes still? There should be a 4 digit part number as well, for instance, the TR55IX I use on my other car is 7164. Asking for them by the 4-digit number is usually a lot easier, otherwise, they might have to do a cross referance.
