leaky clutch line?

Has anyone had a problem with the rubber clutch line near the slave cylinder leaking? I've been noticing small puddles of fluid under the car, and it looks/feels/smells like brake fluid. But the only source would be that line. It was a little wet, but I could've spilled a little redline on the hose when I changed tranny fluid.

I cleaned it off and will check to see if it's wet again in a couple of days.

Does anyone make a steel hose to replace the rubber one?

Just keep your eye on the brake fluid resevoir and see if it's loosing fluid. That will tell you if you have a leak or not.

I'm positive there is a leak, I was looking to see if anyone else has had this problem.

Is it leaking in the middle or just at the ends?

If it's only leaking at the ends, I would put a couple of hose clamps on it. Screw-type hose clamps can be unscrewed all the way and wrapped around the hose ends without removing the hose, so you won't have to bleed the clutch and the brakes afterwards. Be careful not to overtighten the brake reservoir end because the nipple is plastic and therefore easy to crush.

And no, I haven't heard of this problem before. :)
