Kartboy installed!
Oh man, that shifter and the bushings, GREAT!
The c-clip was a bitch to take out and put back in but other then that, it was easy, and it feels amazing, rock solid and good throw length... now all i need it my sparco knob which is 'in the mail' :D |
cool. i have the same and the bushing was abit too stiff for me so im now using the stock bushings. the ss is great. :)
|
for the c-clip i used some needle nose pliers (small ones) and it came out on the 3rd try, the 1st 2 tries it sliped and poped back into place, so the trick is to just go REAL slow

Installed mine a couple weeks ago and loving it!
kenchan, how long did you try the bushings before you went back to stock? Mine felt a little too notchy at first but it feels smoother now. I like how it reduced the side ways play. The only thing is, now I find I'm resting my palm on the handbrake handle since the kartboy knob is so low. |
i used it for about 3 weeks before going back to stock bushings.
even now its still a little bit too knotchy for me. i need a longer knob so that i can get it 'just right.' the kartboy imo is too short. i would recommend these 2 options: 1. factory shifter, kartboy bushings, kartboy knuckle ball knob. 2. kartboy shifter, factory bushings, taller knob than factory. |
hey got a Nokya shift knob today in blue. i use nokya pedals
so it matches the blue and the blue is very close to my blue mica color so its cool. i have it set pretty tall and it now shifts very smoothly. the short shifter is too short. use a tall knob and its great! :D |
Wow-wee-wow-wow-wow!
not bad eh? I installed the shifter and the bushings, with the stock 03 P5 knob, damn it's nice! More like, nicccccccccce!
All that is good is NASTEE... Karlos! |
