K&N Typhoon CAI vs. Injen CAI

Ok, this is my first post so bare with me.... I've got an 03 P5 at home and I think it's about time to start fixing it up a bit. I've got a problem though. I'm looking at intake kits for the P5 and have found 2 that I like; Injen and K&N. I'm wondering what the advantages/disadvantages of each are. I kinda like the layout of the K&N a little better than the Injen kit. I like the pipe bends and the "break" in the plumbing so you can take off the cold air part and use the rest as a short ram. If I do go with the K&N, I'll put an AEM bypass valve in place of that coupling that makes the break. The only thing I don't like about the K&N is the $400 price tag. Do yall think it's worth the extra cash?? I don't know. Help me out, fellas!!!!

From all of the posts I've seen, it wouldn't be worth the $$. Heck most seem to think the 200 for the injen isn't worth it. None seem to give more than 1-2 hp gain. I can just barely justify the injen, which I'll be getting unless I make my own, the price tag on the K&N is outrageous.

the car drives a lot differently now. It's much more enjoyable. I consider the injen to be cheap for the type of everyday driving performances im seeing. and it sounds awesome, its great. I cant wait to get the greddy cat back for a more agressive but subdued tone to go with the intake.

I don't think the K&N is worth that Hugantic price tag. If you really want a CAI, I would go with the Injen.

I have the K&N an I love it. I bought mine a year and a half ago when it was $250.00. I think it was worth every penny. I noticed a performance gain immediately. The throttle response was noticeable as was the way the car pulled coming out of corners.
