Just finished CAI install!

Now i must say i am very pleased. This was my first mod and i installed it by myself. I dont have a digi cam so sorry now install pics but it went pretty good. sounds very nice. I gotta go make another test drive. I'll see if i get pics of it installed later.

u get any noticable throttle response, or is it mostly a cool sound?

I'm gonna install one in a few weeks, I'm just wondering what to expect..

i think the sound is great. i didnt notice much change in the throttle response. But i did notice a big loss in low-end torque. But overall i am very happy with it. Not disappointed at all.

loss in torque??!?!?

wtf?!?

R2Di2Dc2Do July-28th-2003 03:37 PM

yep-yep thaz what i said. the acceleration is slower until about 2k-2.5k rpm then it goes to normal. I do feel much faster. 0-60 feels pretty quick.

do you have a stick or auto?

Low Torque

Haahahahaa !!!

Why dont you make sure your Master Air Flow module is installed correctly, I have the Injen RD6060, and the increase was incredible, starting as low as 1500rpm up to 6000, if you are getting slow response and weak acceleration below 3000, check your MAF...

My advice, you may have it installed wrong. (I did the error)

Have a look at my DIY. With MAF in wrong position shown.
