iridium spark plug question

I am waiting on my iridium spark plugs that are one range cooler. I got these because i plan to go N20 in the near future.......but should i wait untill i install my n20 to install the plugs or should i just put them in now. Only engine mods i have done now is the CAI. So will the Iridium plugs one range colder hinder the performance of my engine the way i have it now?

are you planning on doing exhaust before you put the nitrous in? :)

exhaust

I was planning on a bosal 2.25 cat back. I'm getting this before the n20. On a side note...is 2.25 good for n20? maybe 2.5?

I may be wrong, but 2.25" catback is about the biggest size you can get without losing power. If you get 2.5" you will lose back pressure, and therefore lose power, especially with the minor engine mods you've done. But hey! like I said I may be wrong, im just giving you my 2 cents! Peace!

And another thing! Why is it that everyone is paying like $40 to $52 on Iridium spark plugs? I paid $19 for my NGK Iridiums at O'Reilly auto parts. They sell them for like $25 total, I got mine for $19 because a fellow P5 friend of mine works there and gave me his discount. 52 dollars!! damn.

So should i wait untill i install the n20 or would i be ok installing the iridiums now? Yeah i figured the 2.25 would be the best for my setup. Thank's for the input guys.

you can, i've got mine in right now but i'll probably be swapping them out, just so i dont have to replace them next summer. and yes, 2.25 is the best for our cars. 2.5 wouldn't be too bad. but, i'd stick with the bosal if that's what you're already thinking about doing. just do it before you get the nitrous. :)

On my other car, I run 1 range colder iridiums year round. With the colder copper plugs I used in the past, the plug would foul quickly, like 3000 miles, becuase it was too cold for non-race conditions. I didn't want to swap plugs everytime I went to the track, so I tried the iridiums. NKGs for $6/ea. I'm real happy with them. I've had the current set of iridiums on for about 15,000 miles.

I would've put stock ranged iridiums in the P5, but couldn't find the P/N.
