yes PseudoRealityX, i have read it many times. hehe. it looks legit. ive seen them in body shops and what not for a lot a lot more. the question still stands though. :)

I doubt it makes a difference. The blow off valve lol style one has a heat shield which they claim to block off heat in the engine, so the air the enters is cooler. But since the air entering is already warm to begin with and is sucked into the filter and then to the engine at a high speed, the difference is really neglible.

I would personally go with the traditional one with the air stack on top. It has more filtering area and capacity allowing more air to enter.

But go with the one with you like most.

I would use that filter mostly for security purposes ( with the Injen) to prevent water splashes...it keeps the filter more clean longer.

Performance??? hmmm NAH...

And of course...its resonance is a bit louder than a regular filter

Anyway...a short story:

There is no CAI or Short RAM available that will give the protege engine a good gain (not at least the half like it does to toyota engines, nearly 18+HP to the celica GT-S or Matrix XRS!!!!)

So...I took it out and now Im using the stock intake rubber arm with a K&N filter and I think is awesome (like a short ram)!!!

I dont know if its me...but I feel the car better than with the Injen.
