Is the kartboy shifter you installed the Mp3/MP5 version? I checked the kartboy site and they only have it listed as MP3/MP5. I'm looking at buying one, but that threw me off.

I ending up gettin just the bushings, on my stock shifter. Noticeable difference in shifting. It seems more like notches that I'm shifting into, with small clicks, rather than smoothy going into. Takes a bit to get use to I guess, also heard it will smooth out after a while.


Grumble, should of got the TMW shifter when the group buy happened as well...

Interestingly enough, the shifter in all generations of the Protege is basically the same. The only difference between the three gens is the actual steps to getting the shifter out.

The Kartboy shifter will fit the third gen sedan and wagon just fine. They just haven't had a chance to fit one in a sedan other than the MP3...
