injen cai for all 3rd gens' except this 1?
hey.. i've been to the adventon.com website..looked at intakes for protege's but if u look closely their isnt an injen cai cold air intake for the 2002 Mazda Protege 2.0L, stick car. just alot for earlier models, protege 5's and 03 mazda speeds....if anyone knows where 2 order an injen cai for the exact model i described above plz say so cause im trying 2 order 1 really soon. thx also will an AEM bypassvalve work on the injen cai cold air intake?

there is a CAI that fits all 2.0 engines. I don't know off hand but there is an Ingen one.

If you have a 2.0L engine, it'll fit. Yes the AEM bypass valve will fit the Injen.

intake choices
alright well final question, what do u guys think would be the wisest descision speed wise but also playing it smart...
1. AEM short ram air intake 2. JKL Aero Cold air intake (like a short ram with the fiber glass cover) 3. Injen CAI cold air intake with the AEM bypass valve those r the things im looking at and im trying 2 make a descision sooner than later... thx guys i'd appreciate every opinion u guys have on the matter |
Just get the Injen, fuck that bypass piece of shit thing. Its just a waste of money unless you plan on driving through foot deep puddles of water.

here's the link to purchase the Injen CAI from Mazdaformance.com (works on the model you specified)-
http://www.mazdaformance.com/protege.htm Click on "Aftermarket and Performance Products" then "Intake and Exhaust." |
Get the injen, and listen to what Sweedenhouse said. The aem bypass valve is a waste of money. I have had the intake on for a while, and been through some crazy rain storms, and never once had any problems. It is not needed unless you are driving in some really deep puddles.
