They are both about the same performance wise.

I had the Injen on my 99 LX for two days. The filter got wet and I experienced a massive loss of power and engine stuttering and hesitation. I'm trying to get ahold of a AEM intake for the 1.6L. Anyone know if they make them for this engine?

it was my understanding that both injen and AEM make short ram intakes, but only injen makes a CAI for the LX 1.6. im not sure about the ES 1.8, i suppose they might.

but as for you, trex2500, the stuttering and hesitation you experienced was not injens fault, it was yours, letting the filter get wet. you more than likely injested a certain amount of water into your engine, which may or may not have screwed you good. if i were you, i would have a certified mechanic do a compression and a leakdown test to see if you bent a connecting rod or some valves. i wish you the best. to answer your question, yes, AEM makes an intake for the 1.6, but its only the short ram, no CAI.
