Hidden,

Looks like you do not even know what you want. What is your budget? What do you want to change first? What preference do you have to brand?

Instead of getting information for everything about mods, you should concentrate on one particular mod first, then grow from there. If I was in your shoes, I would start with engine first, some of the mods that have been suggested are cold air intakes, cai's, sparkplugs, etc.

Why don't you start off with this site to get you going:

If money is no option then you should ask Nuke, The Man or any of the administrators. They will definately tell you what you can buy. Definately check out the site that I posted previously and look for the autoexec body kit that is available for the P5. I believe Rishe or ARD_P5 has them in stock for the US.

I have heard someone post something similar recently...that MONEY was NO OBJECT...

well here goes then....

totally upgrade the suspension....new struts from either trico or the mazdaspeed ones, and add a set of either eibach or h&r lowering springs..

a set of 17 or 18 inch wheels of your choice with new tires

upgrade the tunes.....either replace the head unit and ALL the speakers and add the amps and the sub or subs....or use an EQ amp and just add all the speakers and keep the stock head unit....

then get ahold of one of the outfits (bell eng, tripoint) and put a turbo on that thing....

get an appropriate exhaust system to go with the turbo as well.

okay...you have just now racked up about another $6500 or so in parts...and if you have someone else install them all....well do the math.....

VagaBond-X August-28th-2002 01:28 PM

ok nuke...now that I've seen you expensive high end mods!!!

now what can i do with $2

oh no wait $2.27

lol:D :bigthumb:

haha, well performance wise, and money is no object i say you shoulda bought an RX-7 and then you woulda been set lol, jks

well add an exhaust system, and a turbo, and everything else nuke said, hehe :bigthumb:

I haven't picked up a protege yet but I may do so in the next couple of weeks. For me money is an object and all I want to do is add a little more pep to it. What I'm curious to know is what kind of HP gains am I looking at if I add the CAI and a nicer muffler? Also, I was talking to the local Mazda parts guy and he says that his supplier told him that they are expecting a performance chip and headers within the next month or so for the P5. I don't know if this is true but one can only hope, what kind of HP would that add to the P5? I know about general automotive stuff but i'm lost when it comes to performance unless it's a rotary.

Thanks!
