homemade CAI - pics
Hi.
New here, from australia. I've sold my old ride, and have inherited mum's 323 astina with the 1.6L. Out of interest, you can check my old ride here. http://mkerr.boostcruising.com Doing the usual first mods, and have to keep it pretty much stocko. The extra little oomph from cai and exhaust are all i'm after. Searched through most threads regarding CAI, and noticed most don't have piccies anymore (dead links). Just wondering if people would mind posting thier homemade CAI piccies. Side note: i've read mackdaddyslomo's guide, and if you've got pics, that'd be great! Thanks in advance. :bt: |
forgot to add, needs to remain closeish to stock, as i've only got it for a year or two, while i study honours at uni.
no one?
maybe it's the time difference...:( |
homemade CAI? i did that with an RAI on my 02 2.0l. not sure if that would help, but if you want, i can exlpain more.
that'd be great, especially wih piccies please! :)
anyone?
Sorry, can't help, mine's not home-made.

if the intake on the 1.6 and 2.0 are anything alike just take the box that holds the air filter in, off and then buy a filter and stick it on the end of the tube thats what i did works pretty good

i just left the MAF back peices on, and put the RAI on after. took a bit of time, but it works i soppose. never dynoed.
thanks for the replies! :)

no problem. love to help. if i could, i would take everything out, install the rai like i had it before and then boot back to stock. but 2.0s are diff than 1.6. i think the modification would be easier o more difficult.
but then again, i dont have a "true" cai, i ground out the backing of the bottom grill where the foglights would be. still looks stock, which is what i was aiming for.
WTF is a 323 astina? anything like a 323 F?
