HKS Megaflow Intake

does anyone have the HKS megaflow intake? what exactly is the difference between the stock intake and the HKS one? any performance gain? is there a risk of getting water in the engine? i looked at the HKS site and it says it fits the 99 and 00....does anyone know if it will fit the 01 ES?

thx

The HKS intake kit includes a filter bracket and reducer. It eliminates the stock airbox and uses a reducer to attach to the MAF but uses the stock piping from the MAF to the throttle body. It is an excellent filter and yes it woudl work with the 01 ES. It doesn't have all the flashy piping that the AEM and Injen have but all you would need is a 180 degree 2.5" u mandrel bend and you can make your own custom piping. Hope that helps.

awesome, thx for the reply.
im considering getting one...since the AEM and Injen ones are way more expensive and have a greater chance of getting water in the engine.

I have the HKS on my 2k Es, it makes a huge difference, it sounds nice and throaty and power is increased between 4000 - 6000 rpm.

The sound alone is worth the price.
