High Altitudes

Well I finally got moved to Colorado. I didnt think about this before but the altitude here is like Denver (mile high). The car is real sluggish. Is there something I should do to the car or will it work itself out.

Cars don't generate as much power at higher altitudes (less oxygen). I even tried resetting my ECU on my Ranger once in New Mexico to try and get some extra juice and it did not help one bit. Even on flat ground it was sluggish, and going up grades was a bitch. I would be in third, good RPM, and not be able to go over 55.

nothing works, aside from turbo'ing it. and in the springs, why south? the springs is so boring. :( but there's a few meeting spots for cars.. like Grocery Warehouse off Academy.

Yeah dude, i just drove to denver last night. My car felt like a slug when i hit Vail Colorado (13,000 ft altitude i think)...I was in 3rd flooring it at 5K RPM and it wouldnt accelerate at all past like 60....But now i'm near Castle Rock in a city called Sedalia, and i just unbolted my exhaust like an hour ago :P

MXY- Do you work at the Home Depot on Academy? I see a yellow P5 there quite often.
I once rented a P5 (Hertz) and drove it to Pikes Peaks (14K feet). I thought it did well considering it was automatic. I was impressed with the handling and general feel of the car, so we bought one.
If I lived in CO, I'd buy a WRX. 4-wheel drive is so much better in winter conditions. And the turbo would help with the altitude.

if there's so many people in Colorado, how come no one is ever down to meet up? I'm always down to go anywhere to meet up with people. Edwin made me drive to the springs from Littleton one night when he was in Colorado. Took me about 30 minutes to drive to the south side of the Springs from 470 and i-25. You've just gotta get used to the altitude.. I'd probably think i'd have like the fastest car if I ever took my car out of Colorado to a lower altitude. lol.

Not working at Home Depot. Sold my soul to the military. Im in the taxi clone. Cant miss it if you see it. Anyway Im not looking at turboing this car. But thanks anyway.
