hesitation stumbling after vtcs removal?

I have a 2003 protege es manual. I have removed the vtcs butterflys and rod from the intake manifold back in december. Lately i notice the engine stumbles a bit and feels like its gonna stall when i first start it and try to take off from my driveway . . Problem goes away after i leave my driveway which is about 30-60 seconds. Anyone else notice this problem after removing the vtcs butterflys?
Note: i also have obx headers that leaks a little bit from the egr connection been doing that ever since i installed it a few years ago. Everything else is stock. Regularly maintained. Any inputs appreciated. '
Thanks

Deleting the VTCS I think means less air at idle which is giving you the low idle upon start, you have to let the car warm up longer than usual after deleting it. The reason it’s there is to help warm the cats up quicker with more air.
