sorry for a late response on this....any header for the 2.0L should fit the 1.8L no prob...the 1.8L is just a destroked version of the 2.0L..same basic engine, mostly. But the exhaust ports are definitely the same

I've got a prototype header from Wagner Motorsports on my car (2000 ES 1.8l). It seems to work well and improves throttle response. The one I have right now does not have a EGR fitment on it, so it throws a CEL. He is currently working on a new header that has a EGR fitment which should be ready very soon.

The advantage of the Wagner Motorsports header, is that it mounts directly to the catalytic converter so you don't have to relocate the cat to keep it street legal. Or in my case, legal for SCCA Solo2 racing in the Street Touring Class.

Other headers which bypass the first cat/collector, will get you more power- like the AWR header. But if you have strict emmissions, than you may not be able to got that route.
Regardless which one you buy, to keep the CEL off, make sure the Header has a EGR fitment, AND an O2 sensor bung.
