hmmm so without a cat you notice a problem with engine exhaust smell? I understand the cat cleans the exhaust but I didnt know it cleaned it to the point where you would notice a differance in smell. hmmm wow I thought you only smelled cars that were burning oil or had engine trouble. This is new info for me. So how bad is it, enough to warrent spending more money on a high flow cat????

Thanks again slinger

It's not that bad but you do notice it. On one or two occastions coming to a light with my window down I caught enough of the fumes to be slightly irritating. I'll be putting one back more for an environmental reason. Unless the car is seriously modded, having it on there isn't robbing you of any power.

Ahh ok gotcha slinger... thanks for the info.
I think I will try to start out without it or just go with the Bosal (cali) style exhaust. Would anyone happen to know if the cat on the bosal cali exhaust is a high flow style? If so that would keep me from having to weld in a high flow cat at a later date. just curious trying to explore my options... guess I got a little bit since the HP header isnt due to be released for another month :(
I guessl I will just dream of the better acceleration...

Good!! I read another post from someone else who did the modified wiring, but they still got the error. That will fix my problem then. I can just buy the new header, install the o2 sensors on them (modified 2nd of course), and then get a high flow cat in the mid-section. That gets rid of one problem.
I want the high flow cat to actually be enviormentally consious (that and get rid of the pollution smell, those cats actually work!!).

I wonder if NOPI tells us to modify the o2 sensor, or what?
