Fuel Injectors
 

Im looking to Turbo (GarrettGT28RS) my 2002 MP5 and im looking for any thoughts about what fuel injectors are out there, which ones are better/worse, and any other advice. Thanks.

unless you get engine management to control the added flow of higher output injectors, your car will run terribly, idle poorly and have inefficient fuel economy. you should stick with the stock injectors unless you plan on wiring in a fuel controller to control them. the stock computer will have no idea how to use larger ones.

i know all of this, and all that is part of the plan. I was looking at a cutom AEM EMS, but the guy i was going through doesnt do them anymore (time and cost too high), so im still looking. But i know all about the EMS issue, i was just looking at what size/make some people suggest in the way of fuel injectors.

thanks for the advice though. You wouldnt happen to know about any EMS' that work well with the MP5s would you?

i use the haltech and it'll controll the bigger inhjectors. I'm personally going to be using stock wrx 440cc injectors. They drop right in and plug and play with no modification.

One more question for you Roddimus, or anyone else who has experience with the Haltechs...i was looking through their website, and im not clear about the difference between the E8 and the E11v2. Overall though, which do you think would be the easiest install for the Pro 5 with the best performance?

Contact Juan at Hiboost for purchasing info. He includes a protege-specific wiring harness that makes it very easy to install.

The newer models are all X-series... I'm running the F-10X fuel only computer. The E6-X is the full unit for controlling fuel and timing and all other features you want. It's only a few more wires than the F-10X.

The "X" designates that the software is tunable via windows-based laptops instead of older units using DOS.
