FS-ZE swap ?'s
 

k i might have the chance to buy a fs-ze from a friend of mine( he imports) now what i am curious is if anyone knows the specs of the fs-ze motor.. i know its 170 hp @ 6800 rpm but wouldn't that be a problem if it's put in a north american spec protege... i am looking for 1/4 mile times of a car with one/ 0-60 and so forth... also theres no ecu... is there a way of using a stock ecu or even getting my ecu reprogramed... and is it possible to do porting and polishing to the engine...

I'm not an expert on these FS motors.. but I can imagine you will not be getting the full 168hp without the ECU. I'm sure it runs more aggressive timing and has a different fuel curve.

I believe Eeterp ran high 15s in 1/4. I guess somewhere around 15.8
You will not reach peak hp unless you use the JDM ecu that comes with the actual engine and those will be extremely hard to get.

oh shit....... i'll see if he can get me the ecu with the motor.. its comming out of a capella... ... i'll see what he can pull off for me...
