exhaust with least rice sound???

Which exhaust, out of the bosal , mazdaspeed , racing beat, etc. have the least ricey sound?? also anyone know which has the most hp gains???

thanks for input guys

I hated my Bosal with a passion when I first got it. I wanted to rip the fucker off and thorw it in the dumpster because it was so goddamn loud. But ever since I got the silencer for it, its been good to me. As for HP, ahhh who gives a shit? I could blindfold you, slap some ear plugs on you, and put you in 10 different Protegay's all with different exhausts and you wouldn't notice a difference in power one bit cause our cars are simply waaayyy too slow.

i would recommend greddy evo. if they make one for the pro5. :)

racing beat is also not too loud. im using the mazdaspeed axle back and it drones at around 3500rpm ...annoying when going over 70mph. :( otherwise its a lower freq. tone so not ricy.

i have the racing beat (mazdaspeed muffer off the 2003 mazdapeed protege and it has a nice low rumble and no drone

Whatever is stock on my car, I think it's Racing Beat, sounds good. When starting from a stop, it has a nice low sound to it, similar to a BMW I would say, and not ricey at all. At cruising speed you can't even hear it, just like most OEM systems. Sometimes I think that maybe my exhaust is a little too quiet...

I have the Mazda Speed exhaust on a 2002 protege lx and it sounds great. It has a nice low rumble, and is suttle when you want, but can also be obnoxious when you want.

I had custom 2.5" mandrel-bent piping from the cat to the muffler (no resonator) and a Pro1 muffler (2.5" in, 3" chamber, 4" out). It produced the sweetest exhaust note I have ever heard on a street legal 4banger. It was not too loud, but loud enough to get noticed, and it had a VERY nice, warm, deep, fuzzy exhaust note.

Best thing is I spent only $235 on the whole shabang, less than half of some of the pre-made cat-back systems out there.

it may help if you actually specify which HKS exhaust you have.......

I have the Racing Beat...and it's not 'ricey' sounding at all!
