ECU Location
 

Hi,
Does anyone know where the ECU is and how I can remove it on the 3rd gen Pro's (ie: what tools do I need)?

I've heard that it's buried under the passenger's footplate.

Any help would be much appreciated.

In case you're curious, I'm thinking of sending it off to Jet Chips to be reprogrammed for 89 octane optimization.

You are correct. Just remove the interior trim along the door sill and pull the carpet back. There is a silver plate under there if I remember correctly. The ECU is attached to the under-side of that plate by four 10mm (I think) bolts. Be careful not to pull on it to hard so you don't damage anything.

Im case you were wondering I've pulled mine out before.
