downpipe?

I don't have a turbo, but I was wondering if anyone sells a downpipe that bolts on to the bottom of the stock cat. Some people call it A pipe. I think some HP can be unleashed by replace it that straw pipe with a bigger one.

It is refreshing to see a newer guy noticing that, and indeed it is pathetic. I don't know of any aftermarket company that makes a direct bolt in down-pipe...A 4-2-1 header replaces it anyway and that seems to be were most of the aftermarket is going in relation to that end of the exhaust. You could go to a decent exhaust shop that can mandrel bend pipes and have one custom fitted for a relatively little price...

IMO it is the most restrictive part of the stock car period, with the ECU coming very close...

I think I'll have to have one made. I really do not wwant to buy a header that replaces the cat because it is my daily driver and I don't want to mess with it too much
