Hello pals

Can anyone help me about how to perform an electrical check, or others, of MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor, six wires conector. Not using computer interfase please.
Protege 2000 1.6L
Should i clean mine?
How?

unscrew it... get a q-tip, some rubbing alcohol, *gently* clean the little pin looking thing. replace maf, replace screws, and you're done.

I used a sensitive electronics spray to clean my MAF. The dirty MAF was causing problems and spraying both the harness and the "brain" of the MAF fixed the problem.
