Custom CAI

I went to home depot and bought some 8in. air duct which was big enough to fit over my cone filter and I got two 4in. hose clamps(because they were out of 8in. clamps). Then I proceded to make my own custom CAI.

It turned out pretty good I think. It seems to add a little top end power and sounds pretty good in the upper rpm range.

I will take some pics and post them tommorow:bt:

Where does your CAI get its air from?

Under the car, I put the duct right in between the plastic cover under the filter.

It is kinda "ghetto" or "old skool" however you would like to put it :bt:

I will have pics tommorow.:D

Pics are up.
I'm sorry but could someone tell me how to post pics in my threads instead of giving links?
Or is it better to post links?
Anyway here is the link...http://photos.yahoo.com/mp3owner :bt:

BTW...Look at the MP3's power robbing P.O.S. header.
I am not impressed with that P.O.S.
That is on the top of my mod list, atleast when the prices drop for crying out loud.

It doesn't look like much because it's made of cast iron, but it's actually not that bad. I think the primary cat being so far up causing the exhaust runners to be quite short is more of a problem.
