couple of minor upgrades :)
So, i put my kartboy shifter bushings in... BIG difference, love them, well worth the money.
Exhaust hangers, got 3 of the 4 hangers in, the stock hanger location isnt anywhere near the muffler, about 8 inches away, looks like another "hanger" was rigged to the frame. going to get my buddy to move the stock hanger and weld it above the muffler this weekend (hopefully) - already notice less "wiggle" in the exhaust. Got my boost gauge, will not fit where i wanted it... thinking i might just remove my ash tray and mount it there, angle upward... :) - just gotta order tubing! totally forgot about that. oh, and i got my cf trunk piece, gonna put it on tonight (after I wash my car) - and motor mounts should be here soon! |
We'll all be waiting for pix!
No mods allowed around here without an accompanying photo. |
guess i'm just a rule breaker HAHA.
|
my boost gauge just showed up also...it's SO cheesy looking but I bet it's REAL accurate so you'll be able to measure just how each mod affects your boost.
|
w00t! now just gotta decide where to put it, and buy a tub'n kit
|
tubing kit is available at any autoparts store for like $3-5. I dont plan on using this one but it was SUCH a good buy i couldn't pass it up. Maybe it'll go in the SHO....
|
oh no... another project! HAHA.
|
Front motor mount is on! - back motor mount is ... yah.. haha - that things gonna be a job...
- and i got a tubing kit ($5) - and some of those "T" things, think i'm still miss'n something though.. how to connect the "tubing" to the "vacuum hose... hmm.. oh well, i'll figure it out. |

Blah, seems i'm missing a piece... what needs to go in the "gap" (attached picture)
i got several fittings, but nothing to go to the vacuum hoses... gauge end is no problem, got it :bt: other end... got 1/8" "adapter", after putting all pieces together i get a "threaded pipe" look'n thing.. |
w00t - everything is on except rear motor mount, and 1 exhaust hanger
well, this last week or 3, my wife's front left tire keeps losing air (cant figure out why!), so i did the only logical thing, swapped to the 17" wheels/tires. :bt: - IMO it looks great with these wheels (wife thinks they are too shiny)... i know... pictures... i'll try to get some this weekend of both cars, maybe even take a picture of the front of my msp where i got mad at the splitter and broke most of it off :) |
barry, i just used a section of hose that is slightly larger to slip over both ends. works good and doesn't leak.

did i miss something? i'm guessing you are talking about the boost hose? i was talking about a tire leaking |
|
haha, oh yah! the *leak* messed me up... yah, i went to the auto parts place, looked through the parts myself behind the counter :) - found a good combination :) - looks nice..
