Cosmo Racing CAI

Although the pic has the system turned somewhat, when installed, it looks as though it would mount like the Injen, with the filter inside that hole, by the fender.

Damn, the price on this system is $94.50USD.

For any Canadians out there (like me) these guys are in Quebec. I'm thinking of getting this system.

Injen

Cosmo Racing -- Picture it adjusted like the Injen, at the TB pipe section - needs like a 1/4 turn. The downpipe looks longer, but still looks like it goes through the hole?? Looks like a match, but give your opinion....

hmm...i'd rather the filter be as close to that hole as possible...right part the 90* bend.

doesnt look bad though.

but, when the filter is through that hole though, wouldn't it be btter though, becuase it draws much cooler air that the engine compartment itself, and there really is no way water could get in there unless you are pressure washing your car and stick the nozzle through the wheel well.

just wanted to see what your opinion is because ive thought about that.

thanks

i meant to stick the filter in the hole...but as close to it as possible. the extra length of pipe just hurts performance. It takes longer for the air to get into the motor that way. Just measure it all up in the car and take a chop saw or a sawz-all and cut the pipe right past the 90* and mount the filter there.

Cosmos Racing CAIs are great bang for the buck in my experience.

I see your point about the 90 deg. bend, but I highly doubt it would make any noticeable difference. If more, cooler air can be sucked directly from inside the hole area, maybe it'll offset any slight loss the 90 deg. bend serves up.

Hmmmm, great use of the hole...wonder what it's like right under there? Or outside of the engine compartment? From understanding you right, Roddimus Prime, you would rather cut the pipe right above the 90*turn and keep the air filter in the compartment? Am I understanding you right? Or...do you mean, to cut it shorter but still keep the air filter outside of the engine compartment (past the hole?)?
