Cleaning the intake filter

How often do you clean your cold air/short ram intake air filter?

Do you simply buy a new one to replace it ? Or you will use those K&N filter cleaning kit to clean it?

It's probably a lot cheaper to get the filter cleaning kit and just clean the filter instead of buying a new one. I've heard that either 6 months or 10,000 miles is a good period for the CAI filter. It's up to you and depends on your conditions.

I see.

Well, I saw some air filter replacement on the web. Their price is actually not that bad, The Reactive Tornato filter is just around 30 dollars.

The K&N kit is right around $10, and if it lasts for more than one cleaning it would be much cheaper than a new filter.

buy yourself a good filter like K&N or something equal and get the cleaning kit for every 6 months or so...dont go with the cheap filters as they tend to be too restrictive or dont fliter at all.

Ya, a filtercharger is like $40...

$40? A filter recharger is only like $10-15...

Example:
