car hesitates when driving up long hill..

Short high hill is ok, no problem noticed. But whenever driving up long hill, the car hesitates; seems like it wants more fuel or air or something. On str8 away, it drives very smooth. Did you guys had anything of this problem or fixed it? I'm desperate to fix this thing, because I afraid it will stop at half hill up.
I come here once in awhile so I really don't know where to search..

Thanks

I don't if you guys ever had this problem or that u have no ideas what am talking about? Oh well, hope someone will know about this problem soon. Because engine light isn't on right now so I can't even scan it.

Lol, "str8 away" :) *giggles*

Does your car seem to be getting too hot when climbing? My old truck had trouble with hills, it would overheat, bad thermostat.

Stuttered idle could also be the EGR valve, it's troublesome on Proteges.

Fuel pump failing? 'junk' moving in the tank and covering the pick up?

I would seafoam the tank and intake.

Cat getting clogged? Unhook the exhaust and take a charge up that hill.
