Bosal Exhaust

Does anyone know where i can buy a bosal exhaust for my protege sedan? Protege5online has them, but does anyone know if there are any other sites? I have been unable to find them.

Apexi it is

I have been researching extensively over the past couple of days and think I am going to go with the Apexi N1 universal muffler, since there isnt really a catback system for proteges. Does anyone know where I can get a downpipe to make this a full catback system? I also read in a thread someone was going to have midas build a custom one, does anyone know if they do that, and what it would cost? And would I see more performance then changing the muffler alone.

guess your research has been somewhat limited then...seeing as how there are no less than four or five actual cat-back systems available for the Protege.....

guess you didn't look hard enough.

Hey Sir Nuke, can you give me the names and websites of these catback sytems.

cat-back exhaust

i know of at least 4:

1) racing beat cat back exhaust
2) borla cat back exhaust
3) thermal cat back
4) skunk2 cat back

rumor from my local shop was that tanabe was going to be making one as well. of those four listed, skunk is most pricey, then thermal, then racing beat, then borla. the most popular are borla and racing beat. hope this helped.

Soon to come,

The first JDM one. JIC magic. Might be expensive for most tastes though. WE're getting lighteight stainless and titanium.

Rishie

SS is 650.00 list, minus club discount
Ti is probaby 1100.00 or some crazy shit.

HKS has a rear section only. Autoexe and SR motorsports make one too.

Rishie's review:

Priority:

Weight, finish, design, and quality: JIC

Weight and finish, economics, farty kinda sound: Bosal, about 25 lbs. Looks great in my opinion on the Sedan and pretty good on the wagon but we don't have that add on lip spoiler which would help to hide the greatly exposed canister.

Conservative, older, want quieter and appear exactly how it should have been stock: RAcing Beat. But twice the weight. about 45 lbs.

Haven't seen the others in person so I couldn't tell you.

Thanks, Rishie
