AWR header/Gasket??

To those of you who have installed the header...I have a question. I just got done doing mine. Not all that difficult if you ask me. Removing the radiator fans makes things easier. As does not having to goto the store for some tools twice lol.

Anyways on to the question...

Did you put/use a gasket where the header meets tha cat? Like on the stock setup. There is a lead crush type donut gasket there. I have an exhaust leak and I think it may be coming from there since I didnt use a gasket.

Any help is appreciated

Yeah, I kind of thought the same thing. Mine is leaking there also. I've had the header for a week now and love it. Is the rest of your exhaust pushed back slightly though? Mine sits back about an inch. No big deal, the difference is taken up in the rubber mounts. Also, what are you doing about your check engine light? Im in the process of figuring out a fix with the tech's at MIL eliminator manufacture.

Well I found out where the leak is coming from...the manifold. I'm going to put in a new gasket. (yes I used the old one and YES I know thats not right) I just started trying to loosen up as many bolts as I could to get a headstart. One thing led to another so I was like ok Ill just put the header on to see how it fits.

Other than that It sounds good. I havent really throttled the car yet. When I fix it I will. My exhaust didn't get pushed back. It raised the tip about 1/8 of an inch tho. No biggie.

As for the CEL...Mine isnt on. Hasnt thrown any codes. I take it your did? If so thats weird.

AND I have pics posted up on my site. http://www.cardomain.com/id/sport20
