Air-intake That Costs $0.00

HEY GUYS,
THE BEST AIR-INTAKE I FOUND TO BE IS THE ONE I MODIFIED. MY 2000 LX COMES WITH A WHOLE MESS OF PLASTIC TUBES AND NONSENSE THAT RESTRICTS AIR-FLOW. I MODIFIED MY AIRFILTER BY TAKING ALL THAT PLASTIC OUT. I THEN REMOVED THE BOTTOM PART OF THE AIRFILTER BOX AND SECURED THE AIRFILTER TO THE TOP PART OF THE BOX WITH TIE RAPS. AIR FLOW IS GREATLY IM PROVED AND THE CAR HAS A GREAT INTAKE SOUND TO IT NOW AND I DIDNT SPEND A DIME. IT LOOKS KINDA "GHETTO" BUT WHO THE @#!$ CARES. U MIGHT WANNA GET A k&n AIR FILTER THATS WASHABLE AND REUSABLE BECAUSE AFTER A COUPLE OF TIMES OF WASHING THE STOCK ONE, IT TENDS TO FALL APART!! LOL :)

If I were doing what you guys are talking about , I would no remove the bottom portion of the intake box, as that is what supports the filter in there ,... what you can do is leave the bottom peace in there and then install some ducting in the bottom and guide it down to the nearest opening and make sure the whole intake is sealed up tight ,,
know that will net you some good power also

Hey guys i got my k&n drop in today and it sounds great. The stock airfilter is a piece of crap and u cant wash it. the k&n is washable and it doesnt restrict airflow. Wow i got a descent air intake system for 34 bucks!!! lol
