AEM Short ram air

Can anyone tell me if I need to install a bypass valve with my AEM short ram? It goes down low in the engine compartment and I don't know if I should get the bypass. AEM's website doesn't have an application for it. Let me know. Thanks Medicnys.

No, you should be okay without one. It's pretty much impossible for the short-ram to become fully submerged in water (which is the only time a bypass valve would help).

Do you drive a submarine? If not than i don't think you'll need a bypass. Just kid'nn. Not trying to be a dick:D

Lately, it seems, it's soooo important to point this out. I'm not being a dick either.:)

the short ram is practically hood level, the ocean you would be driving through would kill the distibutor and the engine before the intake had a chance the soak up water....soooooo no worries w/ the short ram.

Despite the name of AEM Short ram, the tube extends down quite a ways in to the engine compartment. The filter is just above the splash guard in the bottom of the engine compartment.
