99 Protege Oil Leak
 

Hey everyone, I have a 99 1.6L Protege. I seem to have a small oil leak that is coming from the side of the motor that mounts to the trans.. Right now its just very small drip a day. It runs down and drips off the oil pan. Not even enough to make the oil level go down, but its still there. Its in the shop right now trying to see where its coming from. I really don't know what the problem could be.. I take really good care of my car, and I change my oil every 3,000 miles, but I know that don't always matter. If someone could give me some info, that would be great.

it's probably just something minor like a crappy seal somewhere. hopefully the shop will tell you thats all it is. :) if they don't, let us know. i've got a 2000 1.6, and no problems yet.

No leak
 

Well I just called the shop and they said that they could not find a leak. They seem to think that the old oil from the last change is laying in an area and just dripping down, or they said the filter seal could have been leaking a bit..But they did say that the Seals on the oil pan and the Main motor seals were fine..
