2001&2002 Mazda Protege 5 Shop Manual

Does anyone have the shop manual? If so where and how much?

last time i heard you could get them at a mazda dealer, but they were on back order

Mine just came in today. I ordered it back in June. If you're looking for something in particular, I could scan a few pages for you while you're waiting for yours. I paid $195 CAN and mine didn't come with a binder (it's about 1000 pages).

Cheers,

Eric

I'm guessing that you bought the haynes manual, it's sorta like the Cliff notes version of the shop manual, which is like 5000 pages long and is excruciating in detail, hence the 2 bill price. :)

IIRC, Sandman in Edmonton got his for $90.00 CDN!! And others have called and that is the price they got quoted too!!!

ouch 5000 pages hurts my brain. The Haynes one is what i got. It seems pretty good. i dont think (hope) ill be needing that much detail since I can't afford to do anything but basic maintanence and the occasional cheap accessory. But when it's tie to turbo, it would be nice to have all that jazz.

Yeah but if you saw a shop manual it would be like reading the bible of P5. The hanes one is like those little booklets you get at church.

I just purchased a 2002 Mazda Protege/Protege 5 Workshop Manual from my dealer. It cost me $148 including tax. For really learning about the car and doing major repairs or modifications, it's definitely a worthwhile purchase.
