2.0 jspec engine: should i get it?
 
i have a 01 protege and it is a 1.6 and i want to up grade to the jspec 2.0 will the 2.0 just fit my car or will i have to get a new drive train and transmission?

NOT worth the cost and you will never make the advertised power without the J-spec ECU which are FAR and FEW in between and yes you'll need the tranny too..best to look at a wagner turbo for the 1.6L or a new member has developed a 1.6 S/C setup

yeah Wagner turbo kit for the 1.6L is a proven race winner. Very powerful.

Macdaddy, I didn't think that guy developed one...just bought one from Taiwan or something and had it installed. I'm still waiting for pics and numbers on it. I want his powersteering pump!

I think he paid someone to make it for him, but it was def a custom job, not something he just bought and bolted on. I'm waiting to get full details on the S/C kit myself. I won't call bs yet, but so far I've just heard a lot of talk :boring:
