Rethread spark plug socket

Has anyone done this? My 2000 Protege DX has the thread busted and spark plug can't be installed. I tried some rethread kits from Checker Auto and Autozone. They are too short to reach the hole, even I took out the cylinder cover.

Read the FAQ, or look for the NEW THREAD BUTTON. You actually have to go further than looking at "new posts"
