Where to find coilovers?

I've been looking around online and can't find someone that sells coilovers for the 2nd gen but i have seen the discussions on them so i know there exist, any one know where to get them? and also does anyone know which car has the coilovers that fit ours? i think its the escort but what years? any ideas?

www.corksport.com :) love to help fellow michiganders :)

Thanks for the info, i rarely order things from corksport cause they tend to charge twice what other people charge, I'm gonna look around some more cause i know i can probably find ground controls for cheaper than $400 and KYB struts i can get for $50 a piece instead of the $77 a piece they charge.

And if you are from MI you should get together with us sometime, i'm working on trying to get a mazda meet together, maybe in a month or two.

I found a couple sites selling coilovers for 91-96 protege. How is that shouldn't it be 91-94 or 95-98?

protegeboy78 March-7th-2003 04:20 PM

for anyone interested i found out from someone that sells coilovers that escort ones from 91-96 will fit the second gens. might help in finding coilovers

coilovers are a waste, unless you get the full threaded shock system

protegeboy78 March-8th-2003 01:31 PM

Bruce what is that? Is that like including sturts that are threaded also?

Bruce95fmla March-8th-2003 01:43 PM

yeah the full thing , that is the only way that I would ever go back to coilovers ,,, .... Yo we should try and get like 3 or 4 of us together and buy those sway bars that I saw on a link off of protegetech ,, ... maybe we could get it cheaper, but then they usually want like 8 or more people right

protegeboy78 March-8th-2003 02:11 PM

can you post a link to that? and are these after market sway bars to replace our stock ones?

protegeboy78 March-8th-2003 02:13 PM

oh and who makes this full threaded system? i checked corksport and they have groundcontrol but it says for the front not front and rear if that is so how much on top of the $400 is the rear ones?

Bruce95fmla March-8th-2003 11:51 PM

I have never personally seen any ,,... so..... I don't even think there is a a set out for the 1st gen Protege's ...
I think it was AWR that made the sway bars, i will have to go by there site and check them to see if they still have them up on there

protegeboy78 March-12th-2003 12:38 PM

bruce i was in pep boys today and saw a bunch of energy sway bars that were differen't lengths but didn't say what cars they were for, can't you just find the correct length of those and use those?
