does any one make any nice slotted rotors for our year????

Personally, I think they're a waste of money. I've owned a set and you won't notice a difference driving on the street. Anyone that tells you otherwise is trying to (a) sell you something (b) justify the money they spent in their own heads or (c) just parroting what they read in the latest issue of Stooper Street

Performance wise, you're better off getting a nice set of OEM Brembo replacements for like $30-40 each and sending them off to be cryoforged. They'll last twice as long and perfrom just as well. Save your money and spend it on more expensive kevlar pads(Porterfield r4-s is a personal favorite) and stainless steel braided lines.

Ok now think about it...we drive a pro...the 2nd gen at that.... Now the car only comes with what 92 maybe 96,97 hp. Now you actually think that I'm going to need them for performance???? I doubt that very seriouly. I didn't do the engine swap so i really won't need them. LOL. But going just for looks so it would matter!!! I was just wanting to know if they make them and where would be the cheapiest..thats all. Thanks for the links though!!!!

hey if I was to get them ....what kind of pads would I get. I mean would reg pads harm them??? I've heard about them pads that don't make as much brake dust. I think those would be kool.

NEVER underestimate the importance of stopping power, regardless of HP output. But if the show is more important the go, it's your car...do whatever pleases you.

pads...I already said Porterfield R4-s.
I've tried several of the "performance" pads in my CRX. The porterfields are the best I've found. Minimal dust, good cold and resists fade, rotor friendly and have lasted me twice as long as most other pads would with plenty of life left

The tradeoff is their price. Carbon/Kevlar isn't cheap. They're three times more expensive than regular pads but they'll last three times as long and perform better, to boot.
Pfield doesn't list our model as an off the shelf item but they will custom line any pads you ask for.

by chance do you know how much that would cost to do that???

I've installed slotted Powerslot front rotors since the cheap stock ones kept warping. It's worth the $120, they haven't warped yet, they don't rust since they're cad plated, and stop better. I haven't upgraded pads to a Carbon/Kevlar pad since it's mostly driven hard on the street, I just upgraded to a higher quality "stock" replacement pad. No fade or stopping problems. There are two diameters listed, the smaller ones for drum brake cars, the larger for 4 wheel disks. Actually, the smaller dia. rotors are the same for the Escort, so if you find limited listings for brake parts, that's another way to look for them.

know I have crossD/slotted rotors in the front with KVR carbon pads. and they are frigin great . There is virtually no fade, up to a certain point , much higher than the factory rotors. If it were for the looks then they are great ,, cause they look awesome..
But they are mostly for function .. and they plainly kick ass..
When driving hard they are great , especially for those times when you are driving at 100mph on the highway and have to stop suddenly , ever get that sogy fealing in your pedal after a hard run ... at high speeds. well you don't get that with these, when you step on the pedal it is firm as hell.
Ofcorse I am not saying the Rotors that were mentioned above for 50 bucks would be bad , but I rather my cross/slotted any day ...
gonna switch to ES discs all around soon ..
