Metallic / semi mtallic / cermaic pads

i have found ceramic pads metallic and semi metallic pads... which is best and which should i totally avoid.. i can pick up some semi met for like 15 on ebay that will fit and if those will be low dust and nice performance i might as well get them... i cant find any info on the forum on the difference but i'm sure someone has some info can someone please share a little?

From what I know the semi metallic pads will give good stopping power under normal driving (street) and have the least wear to the rotors. Metallic pads offer better agressive stops(less hard braking fade) with more wear to the rotors . The ceramic pads ,I would think , require a specific rotor as they need a considerable amount of heat in the pad to work properly.
