Hey can you put up a pic so I can see if that is how low I want to lower my car???? Also from what I heard they should fit because this one dude has them on his.

notice the difference in the wheel well space alone...its hard to see that the car is lower to the ground in the after pic because its a bad shot but all i got right now...im happy with it...its low enough to make the 15 inch tires rub when there are 3 people in the back seat....

RacerX September-10th-2002 10:53 PM

Dang when you have 3 people they rub... Man!!!! That makes me think....if you have 15's and with three people they rub...then its relly going to rub with my 16's that i'm getting!!!!!! So what kind of springs do you have??? Or what did you use to lower it?????

G2Protege September-12th-2002 03:24 AM

intrax lowering springs 1.8 inches....but the tires are a 55 profile...i want low pros....i doubt thats gonna make a big difference in the rubbing tho...they only rub if there are 3 in the back...not 3 total in the car...sometimes if 2 people are in the back they rub too...just depends on the size of each...obviously...the car looks way better though with the drop...not the huge ass wheel well space anymore...

why whould you carry 3 people in the back of your car and stress your shocks like that ,,, 3 light females that is different , at a 100lbs each , ok , whatever , but I don't even carry anyone in my back seat ,,,....................

So Bruce95fmla,

How would you suggest on getting that low but also have the ablity to still drive without having to watch everything. Cause I have thought about lowering my car...but I still want to able to drive it. OR what would be the best way on lowering it!!!!

Bruce95fmla September-13th-2002 08:38 PM

you can't ,,, it is either or ,,, there is no inbetween ... if you live in a area that has really smooth roads , like florida or cali , then you are cool .. but in new york , foget it ...

its not that i want to have people in the back...sometimes i gotta...but its rare which is good...your friends car with 18's looks good...but i just want some nice 17's with 40 or 45 profile tires...my shocks are dead anyways so right now it wont hurt the shocks...ima replace em asap tho

Bruce95fmla September-15th-2002 05:21 PM

you can run 17's with 2 tire sizes , either 215/40 17 or 205/40 17
but be forewarned , you car is going to be sslllllllllooooooowwwwww.....

unless you get the turbo ,....
Bruce

G2Protege September-15th-2002 05:35 PM

hmmm...then what do you suggest??? sticking with the 15s but getting a low profile tire(40 or 45) or go with 16 inch rims also with low profile tires...???

Bruce95fmla September-16th-2002 03:15 PM

get lightweight 17's , look in the new super street, i saw some rims in there that are like 14 pounds , or so , and 17's , but the load index( weight per wheal ) may be low ....

I would suggest white, or getting rims with a chrome lip and the center painted the color of your car .
Bruce

I will do you one better, the site is www.speedpeople.com
and the rim PG-5s

they are 12.5lbs.

I suggest you get some lightweight 16's with some low pros. i currently have 13's on mine but i'm soon getting some 16's with low pros. see, i live in NYC so there is alot of potholes and shit so 16's would be good for me with my stock suspension height(may put 17's on it) but for you go with 16's with low pro's. believe me, it'll still look hot.
