Looking for some new brake pads and front brakes for wife's protege lx
Hey guys, hopefully you can help me out. I have no clue where to find this stuff online. My wifes brakes suck so damn bad :( I want to get some aftermarket slotted rotors for the front and some decent brake pads up front also. nothing too crazy and expensive. But if you guys have some links to provide that would be great.
Also where can I get some lowering springs? Thanks, Mike |
oh, and it's for a 1998 Mazda protege lx 1.5L
Thanks :) |
crapola...I just now noticed there's a more correct forum for this :o mod, can you move this to the suspension area?
I was looking through there and am getting some info now. I think I'll just look for some blanks, good pads, and maybe some steel braided brake lines if possible. |
Before some one moves it, I would be able to help you out. You will waste money on the rotors as they provide no difference unless you are racing the car. What you do need is some metallic brake pads. You do not need to buy them online, because pads have to be very specific to year, make and model of the car, and online its hard sometimes to specify that. Just take a drive to any local brake shops, and most of them have these pads. They are very quite, make less brake dust, last longer, and provide less stress on your rotors. Also, visit www.clubprotege.com . Most people have left this place, and you will find plenty of people there with 95-98 model that could help you out. Goodluck.
