indiglos....

Well I got a contact down here in PR that says he can make some indiglos for my 2nd gen ES.. I haven't seen his work yet but I'm gonna take a look. He told me it could cost $70 blue or red lighting, any color and with any words. Also he mentioned that these are the ones that can be cut to go over the needles. I'll be posting more info soon.

On this topic.. how would I remove my factory ones (without removing the needles) when I want to put the custom ones in?

Went to look @ them today and noticed that they're just like vinyl. They are not powered just plastic/vinyl. They look nice it's just that I don't see much work for the price.

Not sure now, 'cause of the price for the product AND what would I do with the factory green needles? I know there is a place where I can sand the needle or somethin and put in somekind of light but I don't wanna do that to my needles.

Dude, if you have a 97/98, you can use the regular gauges for the 99-up Protege. You can get APC ones. If you have a 95/96 with a rooll over style odometer, you can get them from Corksport.com. Also, you can remove the tach and speedo needles no problem but dont remove the gas gauge/eng temp needl because IT WILL BREAK! Cut thte indiglo horizontally from the center of each hole (like 3:00 on a clock) and slide that gauge into place. Its the ONLY way that works, trust me!

I think my signature says which year I have and I know that I could remove them. But when I re install them.. I'm gonna have some nice gauges but GREEN needle :thumbs do :nono:

The ones from Corsport for my 95/96 are in KPH I don't know how to convert from KPH to MPH in 1 second. Plus the gauges cost a pretty penny if I'm not mistaken.

I think my signature says what year Pro I have. I'm sure we can take some gauges off but, the possibility of braking one is still there AND -let's imagine I did take them off- when I reinstall them what am I gonna have? Some nive gauges with GREEN needles yuk!

I know corksport sells them but they are in KPH and I don't know how to convert from KPH to MPH in 1 second without a calculator.

The gauges are SO bright that the needles dont look green, they sorta just look like they are there. Plus, the indiglos have their OWN power source so you can have the indiglos on, but, use your dimmer to turn the needles down. And as far as them being in kmh, the ones you are looking at on the Corksport site are MAZDASPEED gauges. They replace your whole cluster (I think). If you want those, they do have the MPH in smaller numbers in the middle (like how your gauges now have KMH in the middle). Corksport sells indiglos in MPH. You will have to email them or call them and ask cause its not on their site. They will run you about $100 USD. I am in Canada so I am use to KMH but MY gauges are in MPH, I just read the little numbers on the inside. I dont even think about now.

I know that indiglos have their own power source. I'm saying that the one I saw (the ones I'm offered) are not powered. They are just lit by the bulb in the gauge cluster.

Thank you for letting me know about corksport selling them in MPH. The reason I said that they only sold in KPH is 'cause they don't have it on their website (as you mentioned). But still I find $100 is a little too much.

hey check out this site for indiglos:
http://www.streetracerparts.com/model_development2.htm
they are eithter 50 for one or 70 depending on what you want, If you put a colored light in the cluster wont' that change the color of hte needle? i thought someone did that before.
