Hard to Start & Smell of un-burnt fuel

We'll, I've got no idea about the difficulties of the car starting in colder temperatures. I've had a moto-vac done which helped for a few months but now it's doing it again. I have to turn the key and press the accelerator for the engine to turn over.

I've been adding fuel injector cleaner to the fuel which only helps for 2-3 weeks. I'm almost at the point of replacing the injectors.

In addition, I've also been getting the over whelming smell of un-burnt fuel when I initially start the car and until it reaches normal operating temperatures. That can't be good.

Any suggestions?

It could also be your ignition system that is acting up. Usually when the ignition is little old it takes awhile to crank the car because it has to work harder, this could explain the smell of unburnt fuel because there is not a big enough combustion to burn it all. So start with the distributor and rotor, it'll be about $30 to fix and then also get new spark plugs. When you pull out the spark plugs look for residue on it. This explains what is going on inside the engine. For example black soot on it means you're combusting oil inside your cylinders. This is what was wrong with my spark plugs. Also try to get a Mazda 1990-1998 Protege,626,323, and Milenia repair manual. This book will tell you how to look at your distributor. And when you do if your distributor rotor looks black it must be replaced, also get a new cap if you have to replace the rotor.:D Good luck

Also get new injectors or pull them out and try to clean them.
