A few noob questions

G'day, just bought it yesterday, already planning little mods here and there, but this is mostly out of curiosity:

1. (I've seen threads that sorta talked about it but I'd like a definitive answer) Will the 1.8L short ram intakes fit on a 1.5L with no cutting?

2. Since it's just a 1.5L, is it even worth going up a 1/4 inch in exhaust diameter?

3. What is the stock exhaust diameter?

4. CDN models: Mine is badged as an SE, which is not a trim as far as I know. It's a '98 with CD, AC, 5 Speed, no tach, no cruise. I'm assuming it has a 1.5L. What is it really? (ES, DX, or LX)

I know these have been answered in other places but I'd like to have them all in one place for reference and certainty.

Thanks, cheers ;peace;

The 1.5L is not really a strong platform to work off of. There is almost no aftermarket support for the 1.5L engine. From my knowledge people swap the 1.8L motor or the GTX motor into the protge to get the most potential out of it. If you decide to keep the 1.5L engine it will be alot easire to make it look nice, than make it fast. It all depends on what you want.

Who on this web site has done the engine swap from 1.5 to 1.8? I need to know if it will bolt right in or if you have to do some modifing to the motor mounts.

If you want to know, then why don't you search??
This site has been around since 2001, the info is there if you take the time to look for it.
