CD Player/Stereo Hot on Face
 

I own an 1998 Mazda Protege DX with the single CD player. When I moved to Colorado in 2001, the CD player worked absolutely fine... however with several months in the cold weather/using heater/defroster, CD player started skipping and not being able to seek tracks. Also, the face gets very hot whether the stereo/CD player is in use or not. Has anybody had this problem and was there a solution other than replacing the unit? :D
