CD Player removal
 
Hey,
I just bought my 1998 Mazda Prote(I love it buy the way) and I want to remove the CD Player to install a newer one. Anyway, ist there an easy way to do this? Please let me know before I tear the panel off. Thanks and sorry if this question is dumb.

Ford CD removal tool...like $5-8 at Wal Mart. It'll have it out in 30 seconds, start to finish.

I've seen those before but the cd player in my car doesn't have the holes that I stick it in to pull it out. Am I just blind or are they hidden?

there's two slim cover plates on each end of the cd player. They cover the holes. Use a slim screwdriver or blade...they pop right off so if you're exerting a lot of force, you're doing it wrong.
