Back to stock intake.

Well, the gas prices are not going low any time soon now, so I put my stock air intake housing and pipes back in to see the difference in mileage. I have only had about 3 gallons in the tank, so I will not speculate on the difference now. However, I will also do a complete fuel injection cleaning, and after a full tank of gas, I will be able to compare the differences. If there will be no differences at all, then I might as well slap my "zoom-zoom of an intake" right back in there.

I really think you will notice any real difference ,, I manage my mileage with the gas pedal ,, usually short shifting ,,, (shifting at like 2k or so .....

Yeah, Bruce, I know what you are saying, but I am stuck with an auto, and those gears are looooong.

Though, I just cleaned the injection system, and there was plenty of carbon build up in my intake that came out the back end of the car. I put in a full tank, and time will tell.

automatic,, ok that is understandable with the gas mileage problem you are speaking about ....

i might be crazy, but I actually think I get better mileage with my intake on. Oh well.

But yes, I short shift all the time. I try to keep it under 3k at all times, mostly shifting at 2500 or 2k.
