Axel Stand Placement...

Where exactly should the axel stands be placed on the front/back for a 2nd Gen Pro. I know I'm probably being over cautious, but I finally got my garage cleaned up enough that I could work on my car in it, jacked the front end up with my new floor jack, went to put the axel stands under the car, and lo and behold I couldn't see an obvious place to put them. So I went back like any good little boy and consulted the manual/instructions. The axel stand instructions said see the Car User Manual...the Car User Manual said don't use any other jack than came with the car...the Haynes manual said you should use axel stands (but doesn't elaborate)...argh!!!

I know the term "axel" stand *should* mean it goes on the axel, but there doesn't seem to be direct access to the axel anywhere. Excuse my ignorance...I have the enthusiasm, just not the experience.

Thanks in advance

uhhh...
I will post a pic for you when I get home ..
there are 2 places in the front that I usually use to put the Jack stands and the 2 places in the rear are right behind where the factory jack is supposed to go.. There is a rectangular metal bracing under the car that you can securely put the jack stands ..

Thanks Bruce. I was beginning to wonder if
a) the answer was so *obvious/stupid* that nobody wanted to touch it
or b) everybody around here just talks about working on cars and doesn't actually work on them, j/k ;)

Thanks again

yeah! I saw your post yesterday, but I was chilling with my girl and didn't respond. (quick browse) ... but I have a photo of my car on the Jack stands and will post it when I get home. instead of sitting here and explaining everything ... just easier.
